Als Product Manager Homann ben jij de verbindende factor tussen de productielocatie in Losser en het marketingteam van Homann in Osnabrück. Jij vertaalt de Duitse product- en innovatieconcepten naar concrete uitvoerbare projecten op locatie. Daarmee zorg je dat nieuwe producten tijdig, rendabel en volgens specificaties worden gelanceerd. Je werkt nauw samen met collega’s van Operations, R&D, Kwaliteit, Inkoop en Logistiek in Losser, én met de Product- en Marketing Manager in Duitsland. Je bent regelmatig (1 à 2 dagen per week) aanwezig in Osnabrück voor afstemming en voortgang. Homann maakt onderdeel uit van Signature Foods en is een toonaangevende speler in gekoelde salades en spreads voor de Duitse markt. Vanuit onze locatie in Losser produceren we een groot deel van het Homann-assortiment, in nauwe samenwerking met onze collega’s in Osnabrück.

  • What do you think makes working at SF so enjoyable?

    The entrepreneurial and versatile nature of the company. There is a lot to learn within the group because, as a total company, you serve different target groups through different channels (international, retail, food service) with different products (from egg salad to cheese sticks, from hummus to olives). Each business unit has its own specialist knowledge, which creates great synergies. Take Johma's flame salad or stuffed eggs for snack platters, for example. These products draw on Johma's expertise in stuffed eggs at the tapas business unit. In addition, each business unit/brand is at a different stage of the business life cycle, which leads to interesting challenges where the group can help each other. You are, as it were, a kind of family, where all business units have their own character, but are made up of the same SF genes.

    Is there an achievement within SF that you are most proud of?

    Organising the first Tapas conference. A day on which the strategy and mission of the business unit were presented and we strengthened the team spirit with all employees through team building and a closing barbecue. Everyone – from the office to production – was enthusiastic about the set-up. Of course, not everything went as planned, but that made it all the more enjoyable when it was successful!

    What do you appreciate most about your working environment?

    If you want something, it can be arranged. We are very flexible as a company because we consist of so many different “mini companies”. Initiative is rewarded, and you can tell.

  • Experience as an employee

    I enjoy working at Signature Foods because you really get the opportunity to develop and implement your own vision. This is reinforced by the variety between ad hoc and planned work, and between strategic and operational tasks. It also makes me proud to work for brands that people are attracted to and always respond to with a smile. Everyone reacts enthusiastically when you start talking about a tasty Vlammetje on the terrace or Heks'nkaas with drinks.

    Growth and development

    In my position, I deal with legislation and regulations a lot. Changes in these regulations sometimes require us to reconsider our positions. I experience growth and development for myself when I coordinate the process well, both internally and externally, enabling us to achieve the best possible results.

    Working environment

    Achieving the best possible results every day with all my colleagues, where everyone's talent is valued and utilised. It would be utopian to assume that we as an organisation have already achieved this, but I appreciate that we are getting a little closer every day.
